First to Worst - Die All Time Camaro Hitparade

Beitragvon Driver » Mittwoch 9. Februar 2005, 22:35

hab in einem magazin eine interessante hitparade gefunden, und zwar geht das nach baujahren mit dementprechender begründung - ich list das hier mal auf, das übersetzen spar ich mir (könnts ja altavista probieren :) )

1. - 1969 :why? - ZL1 and L72 COPO cars, the last and best year for the DZ302 powered Z28, the best looking indy pace car ever and every other reason.

2. - 1970:the first year for the 2nd gen, and the only year the Z28 came with the full strength (360hp) LT-1 350 and the short rear deck spoiler, and the 375HP 396 was still available.

3. - 1968: cause its slightly better lookin than the 67; cause mark donohue won 10 of 13 trans am races in a 68; cause grumpy jenkins won the 1st pro stock race.

4. - 1967: it was perfect the moment it came out - and then they added the Z28!

5. - 1993: a 275HP LT-1, six speed tranny and 4 wheel disc brakes for 17.000 USD? - better than we deserved.

6. - 1998: Everything the 93 car was and more, the all-alu LS1 is the best engine ever plopped into a production F-car

7. - 1985: just when the 3rd gen car seemed destined for mediocrity, along came the IROC and tuned port injection.

8. - 1971: its a slightly less powerful, slightly less attractive 70.

9. - 1987: the 350 returns! with TPI !

10.-1972: its a slightly less powerful, slightly less attractive 71 ;)

11.-1988: Wow, they brought back the convertible

12.-1996: SLP brings us the Z28 SS, thanks.

13.-1973: its a slightly less powerful, slightly less attractive 72 :)

14.-1997: cause of the 30th anniversary edition that brought back the 69 pace cars orange-on-white graphics

15.-1994:the 1st year for the 4th gen convertible

16.-1983: remember the L69 305? back then its 190 HP and 5 speed tranny were a great leap forward

17.-1977: after 2 lousy years they brought back the Z28, a gutless Z28, but one that handled well

18.-1978: at least the put the bumpers under some plastic

19.-1995: with the 3800 V6, the least powerful V6 powered camaro was now more powerful than the most powerful 84 camaro

20.-2002: its the last one and its very quick!

21.-1984: no particular reason

22.-1990: the last IROC was the best IROC

23.-1991: IROC morphs into Z28, always liked that name..

24.-1982: the 3rd gen car looked good, but the engines were trash.

25.-1989: this year had to go somewhere

26.-1999: there wasnt really anything new about the 99, that was OK

27.-2000: see above

28.-2001: the LS1 was rerated to 310HP - but trust us, it was making 310HP all along

29.-1992: the last 3rd gen car was the tightest and best built

30.-1986: whats the ugly lump on the rear window?

31.-1974: those bumpers, those damn bumpers

32.-1981: it was about time the 2nd gen died.

33.-1979: this was the best selling camaro ever (282,571 sold), for no apparent reason

34.-1975: a new rear window but no Z28?

35.-1976: it was more of the 1975..

36.-1980: this was the year chevy introduced the unforgivable 267ci-V8. it made 120HP and was the worst small block ever built. GM didnt deserve to survive that engine.
